'SoulCalibur VI' DLC Leak? Code Names Found in Data Mine

There hasn't been a lot of news on the SoulCalibur VI DLC front, but data miners have found possible clues as to who will be added to the roster in Bandai Namco's fighting game.

After the SoulCalibur VI 1.11 update, the PC version has added up to 10 DLC character slots. Nine numbered plus Tira, who was the day one DLC character, including the season pass and all new fighters.

That leaves six unannounced fighters possibly coming to SoulCalibur VI after the first season of characters are released. Dataminer UyuKoenji posted their findings on Twitter with the code names for these possible DLC fighters. The code names are: Stone, Yell, Star, Snow, Reptile and Yellow.

Actually misinfo from me! I extracted the wrong thing. These are the new SC6 files. They are infact real, make sure you exteact the right files from your game folder and don't derp out like I did. Have a good day @Flying_Wonkey pic.twitter.com/PzxpX1giGs

Fans of SoulCalibur VI will also notice Cassandra and Amy's names in the code, which were leaked in a prior update.

So who are these code names referring to? "Reptile" seems like the most obvious, as Lizardman appears in the story mode and has been one of SoulCalibur's staple characters. "Stone" seemingly refers to Rock, who has appeared in every SoulCalibur game aside from the second.

Many are speculating that "snow" refers to Setsuka, whose name means Snow Flower. Setsuka is a female swordmaster from Japan who appeared in SoulCalibur III and SoulCalibur IV. "Yellow," points to the character Hwang, who appeared in SoulCalibur VI's story mode. His name contains the same Korean character for "yellow" when spelled with Hanja.

The code names "yell" and "star" aren't as obvious, but fans online have brought up characters, Viola, Yun-seong, Algol, and Hilde as possible answers.

Bandai Namco only confirmed two DLC fighters in SoulCalibur VI so far. Tira was announced prior to the game's release as an incentive for those who pre-ordered the game, while 2B from Nier Automata was added in December.

The current SoulCalibur VI season pass includes five fighters with 2B being the first. That leaves four more in the current season, but it seems this possible leak points to a second season of DLC coming to the game.

SoulCalibur VI is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
