Insomniac's Spider-Man game for PlayStation 4 is one of the most anticipated games of 2018. Fans will finally get more information in the May issue of Game Informer including the release date and details on combat and other features.
According to a post on Game Informer, the cover will be Insomniac Games' Spider-Man, affectionately dubbed Spider-Man PS4, and teases what the staff found out on their two-day visit to the developers' studio.
May's Game Informer will have hands-on impressions of the game, including what players can expect from the open world. Missions, side activities and collectibles, and exclusive talks with the development team will all be part of the issue. The 14-page feature will reveal new screenshots, concept art and details about including suit crafting and upgrade paths which will allow players to make combat more complex.

Spider-Man PS4 was announced at E3 2016 and details on the game has been scarce. Some gameplay of the combat looks very similar to the Batman Arkham series as Peter Parker swings around New York City, crawling and gathering information from bad guys and using his signature webs to take them down.
The story of Spider-Man PS4 will feature classic villains from the wall crawler's rogues gallery but Mister Negative has been the one baddie who has been shown in any sort of prominence. Fans can expect Mister Negative to be a big part of the story, which Insomniac Games told Game Informer will overlap the worlds of Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
May's digital issue of Game Informer will drop April 4 with the print releasing April 6.
