Arsenal's star double act Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are demanding equal wages with the Premier League's highest paid players, according to reports.

Ozil and Sanchez want to be on par with the Premier League's highest paid player, Manchester United's Paul Pogba, the London Evening Standard reported.

The 23-year-old Frenchman, who became the world's most expensive player this summer after signing from Juventus for £89 million ($113 million), is said to be on £290,000-a-week ($370,000).

Both Ozil and Sanchez, who have proven to be key players in Arsene Wenger's team, have just 18 months left on their contracts at the Emirates Stadium.

Ozil, the German playmaker, is currently on £140,000-a-week ($179,000), while Sanchez, who has played as the spearhead in Arsenal's attack this season is on £130,000-a-week ($166,000).

The Chilean forward has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Juventus, while Ozil has not ruled out a return to big-spending Real Madrid.
