Arsenal blocked Jack Wilshere's preferred deadline day move to Roma with the midfielder ending up at Bournemouth instead, according to reports.
Wilshere , who ended up making the late move to the south coast on Wednesday, is believed to have preferred a move to the Italian club, according to the Daily Mail.
But the north London club preferred the financial offer from Eddie Howe's Bournemouth and prevented a move to the Italian capital.
The deal with Bournemouth is believed to be worth around £2 million ($2.65 million), with the Cherries paying Wilshere's £80,000-a-week ($106,000) wages.
West Brom is likely to be the opposition for the 24-year-old's debut for Bournemouth on September 10.
