West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has played down reports that Dimitri Payet is heading for the exit door at London Stadium.

The Frenchman, who moved to West Ham in 2015 from Marseille, has most recently been linked with a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain after impressing last season.

But Bilic insists he has become accustomed to the reports and welcomed joint-chairman David Sullivan insisting the Hammers would not part with Payet.

"The chairmen said that even during the Euros when the speculation started," Bilic told the club website. "We are delighted to have him, he is our player and we want him to stay that way of course."

Payet is expected to feature in the London derby this Saturday as West Ham travels to north London to take on Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur.

"It would help us a lot if he could score another big goal against Tottenham on Saturday," Bilic added.

"It is always a big game against Spurs—maybe the biggest derby for West Ham."

Bilic's side sits one point above the relegation zone while Spurs is fifth in the Premier League, five points off leaders Liverpool.
