Caitlin Clark was absent from the WNBA All-Star Orange Carpet on Thursday night. Instead, the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week was back in her hometown in Iowa for an event with the Caitlin Clark Foundation, according to USA Today.
USA Today did not report the details of the event Clark attended for her foundation.
Clark is now a three-time WNBA All-Star and earned the second-most fan votes (1,023,321) in the league this year behind her Indiana Fever teammate, Aaliyah Boston. Clark was also named a starter and the captain of Team Spoon, which is named after Hall of Famer Teresa Weatherspoon.

Boston, Las Vegas Aces forward A'ja Wilson, Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles and Dallas Wings forward Jessica Shepard were also named starters for Team Spoon.
Clark and Team Spoon will face off against Team Coop, which is captained by Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers and named after Hall of Famer Cynthia Cooper.
Clark Will Not Compete in 3-Point Contest
Clark is one of the best 3-point shooters in the WNBA and ranks fifth in average 3-pointers made (2.6) this season. She also became the fastest player to reach 200 made 3-pointers in league history, completing the feat in 74 games.
However, she will not compete in this year's 3-point contest at All-Star Weekend after declining an invitation to participate. Clark was expected to compete in last year's contest but a right groin injury kept her from participating in the event. She also did not walk on the Orange Carpet during last year's All-Star Weekend.
The WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday at 5:30 pm PT in Chicago, Illinois.
