Angel Reese is in line to earn a big payday after earning All-WNBA honors this season.

According to The Athletic's Sabreena Merchant, Reese, who is in her first season with the Atlanta Dream, is eligible to renegotiate her 2027 base salary due to the Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract (EPIC) provision. Atlanta can offer Reese a maximum contract in her fourth season and a supermax extension for the subsequent three years.

Reese, who was selected by the Chicago Sky in the first round of the 2024 WNBA Draft, is expected to earn $396,282 next year. Merchant said the WNBA's salary cap could rise to 13 percent in 2027, and the maximum salary could see the same growth.

In her three WNBA seasons, Reese has been named an All-Star three times, won the rebounding title three times, and was selected to the All-Rookie Team in 2024. Now, she is looking to lead the Dream to their first WNBA championship.

"I think it's contagious when you have a mentality where I'm hype all the time, and I'm bringing the confidence to everybody," Reese told reporters after the Dream won Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Wednesday. "'Y'all aren't taking this from us. In my heart, I'm not letting you take this from us.' I think it becomes contagious through the whole team, just being able to want it more than anybody else."
