Be it on morning shows, primetime television, or late night, double gold medalist Alysa Liu of Team USA is everywhere.

Since returning to the United States last week following the wildest month of her life, the 20-year-old is basking in the glow of her time in the spotlight.

Liu became the first American woman in 24 years to win individual skating gold at the Winter Olympics, and she's done it her own way.

After retiring from the sport following the 2022 Beijing Games, Liu only returned after setting strict rules for her coaches and father to follow, including letting her pick her outfits, look, and the songs she performed on the rink.

And while the songs that she did her routines to at the Olympics are climbing up the charts and making their own records, investigative fans of Liu are wondering about another possible connection to the music world: her dating life.

While Liu opened up about enjoying being single in an interview with Cosmo before the Olympics, fans online have begun speculating that she might be dating American hyperpop star Ash Blue Gutierrez, who goes by the moniker Glaive.

The rumors began circulating online after Liu was spotted having dinner at Trabocco in Oakland with Glaive following her return to the States last week.

In the interview with Cosmo before Milan, she opened up about how friendships are currently more important to her than finding a long-term partner.

"If I were to date someone, we’d each have to make tons of sacrifices," she said. "It’s just not worth it at this point to build something. I think when it comes, it will. I love being single, I really do. I do see myself being single for a long time. Especially right now, I choose friendships over relationships any day.”

Although nothing has been confirmed beyond friendship with the musical artist, it hasn't stopped fans from doing their best to connect every possible clue linking the two young powerhouses in their respective crafts.
