Bryson DeChambeau is entering the 2026 Masters Tournament as one of the leading favorites to win the historic event at Augusta National.

While that is the case, many PGA Tour fans have had limited exposure to DeChambeau in recent years. The 32-year-old golfer has played for LIV Golf since signing a lucrative contract with the alternate league in the summer of 2022.

Legendary sports broadcaster Jim Nantz, the iconic voice of the Masters since 1989, recently admitted that he's barely seen DeChambeau play any golf so far this season.

“I have to confess, I have not seen Bryson hit a single shot this year. I have not seen him,” Nantz said on Monday during his pre-Masters media call.

While Nantz's recent exposure to DeChambeau is limited, the broadcaster did identify him as his second leading favorite to win a green jacket behind World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler.

“I think if you had to pick one guy, [Scottie Scheffler] would be the guy, and probably right behind him would be Bryson [DeChambeau]," Nantz said.

DeChambeau heads to Augusta National straight off back-to-back individual LIV Golf wins, claiming victories at LIV Golf Singapore and LIV Golf South Africa. He defeated Jon Rahm, another favorite for this year's Masters title, in a playoff at Styen City on Mar. 22.

Nantz didn't tune in for either of those events.

“So for me to say what his form looks like, all I can go off is the YouTube videos I’ve watched with my son,” Nantz said. “That’s all I’ve seen.”

The first round of the 2026 Masters at Augusta National will tee off next Thursday.
