Jon Rahm's fiery personality was on full display at Royal Birkdale on Friday.

Rahm hit an errant tee shot on hole No. 15 during his second round at The Open Championship. His frustration boiled over as he spiked his club down on the tee box after a one-handed finish.

An Open Championship rules official met Rahm on the 17th tee box to assess him an official code of conduct warning.

"When we got to the 17th tee, there was a rules official that came to Jon Rahm and notified him that he had an official code of conduct warning for his actions with the club throw on the 15th hole," on-course reporter Smylie Kaufman said on the broadcast.

Rahm could have received a two-shot penalty, but rules officials elected to go with a warning.
