Tiger Woods and his Jupiter Links Golf Club were staring down an early exit to the season as they took on The Bay Golf Club Tuesday night in the TGL regular season finale.

Trailing 6-3, the Jupiter Links team, composed of Woods, Tom Kim, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner needed a miracle to keep their playoff hopes alive – and Kim delivered. On the penultimate hole of the match, Kim's beautifully-struck wedge shot landed just a few yards past the pin before spinning back into the cup for a hole-one.

Kisner then finished the job by winning the final hole en route to a 9-6 victory for Woods' team.

The improbable finish prompted several conspiracy theories suggesting the moment was rigged.

"Jupiter had to win to make the playoffs. TGL gets all their views from Jupiter (Tiger). Hammer thrown. Hole win gets them into playoffs. Hole in one. Hmm…." one betting analyst suggested before another added, "If you think sports are rigged, here would be exhibit A."

"TGL: 'We need more excitement.' SW Engineer: <> SW Engineer: 'Done' TGL: 'Excellent' <>," offered another.

Rigged or not, Woods is counting the win.

"Yeah, this was a blast," Woods said. "To be with these guys, this was our original team last year, so we bonded last year, and coming into this year, obviously adding Akshay, we’ve had a blast. That’s the thing. We had a blast last year. We’ve having a blast this year. For each of these guys to earn the holes coming in and contribute as they did, it couldn’t be more special and better for these guys."

Jupiter will face off in the semifinals against Boston Common Gold on March 17. The match will be broadcast on ESPN.
