Team Europe has dominated the United States at the Ryder Cup, winning the event nine of the past 12 times.

After losing back-to-back Ryder Cup tournament including on home soil at Bethpage Black in which they were the heavily-favored team, the United States is making a change. New captain Jim Furyk is hiring a new data analytics department.

"Scouts Consulting Group, which has supported the U.S. side in most of international men’s golf team competitions since 2016, is out and will be replaced by a new group headed by Justin Ray and Hunter Stewart," Golfweek reported.

Furyk initially hired Scouts, which is headed by Jason Aquino, in 2024 when he was the winning captain of the U.S. side of the Presidents Cup, and served as a vice captain to Davis Love III, who used Scouts in victory at both the 2016 Ryder Cup and 2022 Presidents Cup.

“I really want to make it clear that I’m a big fan of Jason Aquino, he’s very talented and I learned a lot from Jason and consider us friends even now,” Furyk said. “That conversation was difficult in some respects but ultimately I felt like we had an opportunity and I had to make the best decision for the United States team.”
