Utah fell to 2-2 in the Big 12 Conference with its 24-21 loss at then No. 15 BYU last week. Daniel Bray gave the Utes a 14-10 lead early in the fourth quarter with a 49-yard touchdown run before the Cougars came back with two touchdowns to secure the win. Quarterback Devon Dampier threw for 244 yards and two scores while also running for 64 yards, but went out of the game banged up, with true freshman Byrd Ficklin in line to start if Dampier can’t go.

Colorado returns from a bye week on the heels of its 24-17 win at home over then-No. 22 Iowa State on Oct. 11 that moved the Buffaloes to 1-3 in the Big 12. Kaidon Salter has completed 65.5% of his throws for 1,156 yards and nine touchdowns to go with four interceptions, while Omarion Miller has 20 catches for 371 yards and four scores. Micah Welch leads the team with 277 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Salter has 270 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, the Buffs allow 404.9 yards per game.

The Buffaloes snapped a seven-game losing streak in the rivalry that dates to 1903 with a 49-24 win at home on Nov. 16. Utah leads the all-time series 35-33-3.
