Michigan rebounded from a loss at USC with a 24-7 victory over visiting Washington last week. The Wolverines took the lead on Jordan Marshall’s 14-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter before icing the game in the fourth. Marshall finished with 133 yards on 25 carries while freshman Bryce Underwood was 21-of-27 for 230 yards and two scores. The defense recorded three interceptions and limited the Huskies to 40 yards on the ground.

Michigan State fell to 0-4 in the Big Ten, losing its fourth in a row last week at then-No. 3 Indiana 38-13. Aidan Chiles hit Nick Marsh on a 15-yard touchdown pass to put the Spartans up 10-7 in the second quarter, but the next time MSU scored, the Hoosiers had run off 31 straight points. Chiles finished 27-of-33 for 243 yards and a score while also leading the rushing attack with 48 yards.

The Wolverines have won the last three meetings in the rivalry, most recently a 24-17 home win last season. Michigan holds a 74-38-5 edge all-time.
