Piage Bueckers was drafted number one overall in the WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings, and after being one of the worst teams in the league last season, they should have a chance to take a massive step in the right direction.
The former UConn Huskies superstar might take some time to adjust to the game as a professional. Still, her undeniable popularity will immediately make the Wings one of the most watched teams in the WNBA.
As a senior in college, Bueckers led her team to a national championship while averaging 19.9 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game. She will go down as one of the best players in the program's history, and that is saying a lot considering the all-time greats who have played at UConn.
This is an exciting young WNBA team led by an iconic player. Make sure to follow their journey all season long by tuning in and catching all the action.
