After almost a month without a taste of Premier League triumph, Newcastle United hosts Nottingham Forest on Sunday, intent on ending its sour patch. And the Magpies will be desperate to make up for last week's capitulation against title contender Arsenal.

Eddie Howe's side were minutes from a giant upset of the Gunners before two goals in 12 minutes saw Arsenal emerge with a 2-1 win at St. James' Park. But the north-east outfit may fancy its chances all the more at home to a Forest outfit that sits one point below at 17th in the Premier League standings.

Forest is still in pursuit of its first win under new manager Ange Postecoglou and hasn't won a game since the opening weekend of the Premier League season back in mid-August. The Reds were most recently devastated to lose 3-2 at home to Danish club Midtjylland in the Europa League and are struggling to find any traction.

Meanwhile, Alexander Isak's replacement, Nick Woltemade, has hit his stride after scoring three goals in his past four games for Newcastle. However, summer signings Yoane Wissa and Jacob Ramsey remain injured for Sunday's host, while Tino Livramento has picked up an injury that could sideline him for up to eight weeks.
