Washington finds itself just one game behind the Golden State Valkyries for the final playoff spot, making games like these extremely important. The Mystics are riding a two-game losing streak, with their last being a 99-83 loss to the Atlanta Dream. Kiki Iriafen scored 22 points to lead the Mystics, but as a team, they made just three shots from beyond the arc and turned the ball over a whopping 22 times in the loss.
The Sky have been dealing with injuries and underperformance for the bulk of the season, and have lost eight straight games. Their offense has been stagnant, as was the case in their most recent loss, 83-67 to the Phoenix Mercury. Elizabeth Williams put on a show off the bench, scoring 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting with 15 rebounds and two blocks.
This will be the fourth and final matchup between the Mystics and the Sky this season, with Washington winning each of the first three meetings.
