Boxer and internet personality Jake Paul is taking a shot at making an NFL roster, and he's certainly not lacking in confidence.

Paul told Front Office Sports that once he's done boxing, he plans on making an impact as a wide receiver — and he's using those who doubt him as motivation.

"I mean, it's pretty simple. Just like when I started boxing, it's funny to see the tweet-and-deleters out there, the nonbelievers, the naysayers — shoutout to Drake," he said.

Why is he so confident in his chances? He thinks current NFL players aren't up to snuff.

Jake Paul Says Making Nfl Roster Will Be 'Quite Easy'

Paul told FOS that he believes he's a good enough to play professional football — and that some of those who are getting paid to play aren't deserving of their roster spots.

"There's a lot of super mediocrity in the NFL, a lot of not-good athletes, a lot of people dropping passes on a consistent basis," he said. "I have better hands than them, I'm faster than them, I'm stronger than them, I work harder than them. Really, all it's going to take is just me, after boxing, practicing some routes."

Paul even has an idea of where he'd like to land.

"I mean, I'd love to go to the Cleveland Browns," he said. "I've been a Browns fan my whole entire life. My mom is a diehard Browns fan, and I think they could use some good receivers over there. No. 17, Browns reserve the jersey now, thank you."

Whether the Browns are interested in signing Paul is another question, but he did say several squads have reached out.

"I have a couple teams and coaches that I've already talked to that are interested in bringing me on to the team," he said. "It's really going to be quite easy."
