Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is going to draw a lot of interest this winter as the offseason begins. While the Blue Jays are the supposed favorite to reunite with Bichette, it doesn't necessarily guarantee that he will sign with the team he has spent his entire career with so far.

There are a lot of teams in need of a shortstop this winter, but Bichette is also open to playing other positions which makes him even more worthwhile. However, Fox Sports is predicting he could sign with another American League contender: the Cleveland Guardians.

"Bichette is just what the doctor ordered for the Guards," according to an uncredited FOX Sports writer. "Of late, the Guardians have shuffled Gabriel Arias, Brayan Rocchio and Daniel Schneeman at the middle-infield positions. While the three of them are still in the early stages of their respective MLB careers, none of them have yet flashed upside to become the hitter that Bichette is. ... Getting somebody on base in front of (Jose) Ramirez for him to drive in and generate offense on their own, too, is essential for Cleveland. Bichette would move the needle."

Cleveland would become so much better if Bichette left Toronto and joined the Guardians. Rocchio is the most experienced member of the middle infield for the Guardians, but that doesn't mean he would be guaranteed a spot. With Ramirez at third base, Bichette would likely play shortstop with one of the three players mentioned above playing second base.

The only problem for the Guardians is they aren't exactly known as big spenders, and Bichette's contract could likely surpass $200 million. Cleveland would have to defer most of the salary into the future and take one of the Los Angeles Dodgers playbook to add Bichette, or they would have to get very creative with how they address the rest of their team needs.

If Bichette did in fact go to Cleveland, this move would make the stove red hot and cause a major scramble for the other 29 teams.
