With the Orioles needing a new first baseman, it makes sense that they are being connected to Bauers. He showed this season with the Brewers that he can make a major impact, and he would be a good player for the Mets to bring in because of it.
In 144 games this season with the Brewers, Bauers posted 26 home runs, 86 RBI, and a .266 batting average. With numbers like these, he would give the Mets some much-needed pop if they landed him. It will be interesting to see if they sign him this offseason because of it.
