Four-time World Series champion Mookie Betts' new company, LGND, is now the official glove of Perfect Game. Betts recently launched the glove company with his childhood friends Cameron Lewis, Brandon McPhail and Andrew Montgomery.

Perfect Game is the largest youth baseball and softball scouting service in the world. The partnership will officially launch at the LGND Block Party on July 27 in Fullerton, California.

“This partnership represents everything Perfect Game strives to deliver to athletes, which is access, authenticity and products shaped by the needs of players,” said Perfect Game Chairman Rick Thurman in a press release. “Mookie is one of the most accomplished and respected players in baseball, but beyond that, he understands what young athletes value. LGND was built with those athletes in mind, and we believe this will redefine expectations for baseball equipment partnerships.”

Betts Wants MLB Players to Wear LGND Gloves

Betts' company is releasing 300 LGND gloves at the block party next weekend. The launch will feature two premium glove lines: the MOOK Series and the MVRK Series.

The MOOK Series will connect young athletes to Betts, as the glove is designed with Betts' signature stamped in the palm and his game-worn colorway. Meanwhile, the MVRK Series is crafted with premium Japanese leather that offers a balance of professional-level performance and distinct style.

Betts said he hopes MLB players will use LGND gloves in the future. The company's partnership with Perfect Game is a step towards that direction.

“It means a lot, man. It shows the belief that they have in my team, me, myself and the team, and what they have obviously, I think it’s really going to affect the young people coming up, cause they can show their personalities,” Betts told FOX Business about the partnership with Perfect Game.

“They can look and see that hopefully, one day all the big league guys that have the different models and they can aspire to be them.”
