The New York Yankees have a few needs they need to address at this year's trade deadline. With the recent injury to Clarke Schmidt and poor play from DJ LeMahieu, the starting rotation and infield could be areas of focus.
The Yankees do not seem to be in the market for an outfielder. Between Aaron Judge, Trent Grisham, Jasson Domínguez, and Cody Bellinger, the Yankees are set in the outfield.
However, Grisham will be a free agent in the offseason, and Bellinger could hit free agency if he opts out of his deal. The outfield could become a need in the offseason, but the Yankees may have to cross one name off their list of potential targets.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Noah Hiles, Bryan Reynolds would not accept a trade to the Yankees. He signed an eight-year, $106 million deal with a no-trade clause in 2023.
"A few national reports have stated that Bryan Reynolds is also receiving some trade interest," wrote Hiles. "Moving Reynolds, however, might not be as easy as others. Reynolds, who is under team control through the 2031 season, features a six-team no-trade clause in his contract, meaning he has made it clear he would not approve a deal to certain locations. Those six teams, per sources, are the (New York) Yankees, (New York) Mets, (Toronto) Blue Jays, (Los Angeles) Dodgers, (San Francisco) Giants and (San Diego) Padres."
The two-time All-Star has a .272/.346/.461 career slash line with 132 home runs. He is having one of his worst offensive seasons, but his track record indicates it's more of an outlier than a budding trend. The Pirates seem to be a long way from being contenders. Trading Reynolds could yield them a haul, but he has reportedly ruled out most contenders.
