Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran has been the subject of trade rumors for a long time now, and they are already carrying over into the offseason.
In a recent article for CBS Sports, Dayn Perry named the Philadelphia Phillies as a top potential trade fit for Duran this offseason.
It is no secret that the Phillies could use another impactful outfielder. Due to this, it makes sense that they are already being connected to Duran early on this offseason.

If the Phillies acquired Duran, he would have the potential to provide their outfield with a bit of an upgrade. This would especially be the case if he regained his top form with Philadelphia next season.
Duran had a tough year for the Red Sox in 2026. While he recorded 20 home runs and 21 stolen bases, he also had a career-worst .207 batting average. With this, the Phillies would need him to bounce back if they brought him in.
Yet, when looking at his resume, the potential for him to turn things around should not be ruled out. Just during the 2025 season with the Red Sox, Duran recorded 13 triples, 16 home runs, 41 doubles, 84 RBI, and a .256 batting average in 157 games. This was after he had 14 triples, 21 home runs, 48 doubles, 75 RBI, and a .285 batting average as an All-Star for the Red Sox in 2024.
If Duran got back to his best form, he would be a very good addition to the Phillies' roster. It will be interesting to see if they buy low on him and acquire him from Boston this offseason.
