Back in Boston for the second game in a row, the Boston Celtics are set to host the Phoenix Suns.
After spending the majority of the season without Jayson Tatum on the court, the Celtics recently got the star forward back in the mix. He made his season debut on March 6 after recovering from an Achilles injury.
While Tatum recently missed action for the Celtics, marking the first time since making his debut, he remains consistently in the lineup.

Boston Celtics' Injury Report vs. Phoenix Suns
- John Tonje - OUT - G League
- Nikola Vucevic - OUT - Finger Fracture
The Celtics traded with the Chicago Bulls to land Vucevic ahead of the deadline. They made that move with the assumption that Tatum would return and help the team make a deep postseason push.
Just a few minutes into the first game Tatum played in since joining the team, Vucevic went down with a setback. He is hoping to make it back in time for the playoffs, but his status is far from guaranteed.
As for Tatum, he got the night off against the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 12. He returned to the court on March 14, when the Celtics hosted the Washington Wizards.
Tatum checked in for 32 minutes. He shot 8-19 from the field, hitting on 2-9 shots from beyond the arc. Tatum produced 20 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists. The Celtics defeated the Wizards 111-100.

Where The Celtics Stand In The Eastern Conference
With Jaylen Brown putting together an MVP-caliber season, the Celtics have been one of the top teams in the NBA this year.
Heading into Monday's action, they only trail the Detroit Pistons. The Celtics are 4.0 games behind the top seed. Meanwhile, they have a one-game lead over the New York Knicks for the second seed.
With a 44-23 record, the Celtics are well on their way to clinching a spot in the 2026 NBA Playoffs. As long as they hold the second seed, they'll get an opportunity to face a Play-In opponent. The tournament picture currently includes the Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, and the Charlotte Hornets.
