Boozer finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and six assists, according to Yahoo Sports, delivering a breakout performance in just his second NBA game.

Golden State appeared positioned to pull away late before Memphis closed the contest on a stunning 17-2 run.

The Warriors entered the fourth quarter holding a 90-84 advantage after outscoring the Grizzlies 34-24 in the third.

Memphis responded with a strong defensive effort, limiting Golden State to just 18 points in the final period.

Boozer's performance was particularly encouraging following a difficult shooting debut against the Utah Jazz.

The former Duke standout scored just seven points on 2-of-15 shooting in his first NBA appearance, although he contributed 11 rebounds and five assists during Memphis' 123-103 victory.

His second outing provided a much different offensive result.

Boozer demonstrated the versatility that made him one of the most highly regarded prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft, contributing as a scorer, rebounder and facilitator. The performance also highlighted his ability to bounce back quickly from adversity.

While Boozer's debut showed that he could impact winning without scoring efficiently, Friday's victory offered a glimpse of what Memphis could become when its young forward is producing offensively.

The Grizzlies have now opened their season with consecutive victories, including a road win against a Golden State team looking to rebound from its opening-night loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

For Memphis, the early results are encouraging as the franchise looks to establish itself in a competitive Western Conference.

Boozer still has plenty to learn as he adjusts to the NBA, but his first two appearances have already demonstrated his all-around potential.

And after helping the Grizzlies complete a dramatic comeback against the Warriors, the rookie has given Memphis fans another reason to be excited about the team's future.
