Cooper Flagg continues to show why he's considered one of the NBA's brightest young stars, and his latest performance placed him in the league's record books.

The 19-year-old Dallas Mavericks forward made NBA history Monday night, becoming the first teenager to record at least 25 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and five steals in a single game.

Flagg finished with 29 points, 11 assists, six rebounds, five steals and three blocks in Dallas' 113-109 victory over the Miami Heat.

His historic performance also helped the Mavericks improve to 2-2 while sending Miami to its fourth consecutive loss to open the season.

However, Flagg's impact went well beyond the box score.

With Dallas holding a narrow two-point advantage late in the fourth quarter, Miami forward Andrew Wiggins attempted a three-pointer that could have given the Heat the lead.

Flagg came up with a crucial block with approximately 31 seconds remaining, preserving the Mavericks' advantage.

He later added a layup in the closing seconds to help secure the victory.

The former Duke standout scored 12 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter, demonstrating his ability to deliver when the game was on the line.

Flagg also shot 12-of-23 from the field, continuing an impressive start to his second NBA season.

His performance was particularly significant considering the opposition.

Miami superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded his first triple-double with the Heat, finishing with 29 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. Despite Antetokounmpo's production, Miami couldn't overcome Dallas' late-game execution.

P.J. Washington added 20 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks, while Kyrie Irving contributed 18 points.

For Flagg, Monday's performance represented another milestone in what has already been an impressive young career.

The former No. 1 overall pick entered the season looking to build on a Rookie of the Year campaign that established him as a cornerstone of Dallas' future.

His ability to contribute as a scorer, facilitator and defender was on full display against Miami.

While Flagg has already demonstrated his offensive potential, his performance against the Heat showcased the versatility that could eventually make him one of the league's most complete players.

And at just 19 years old, Flagg is accomplishing things that no teenager in NBA history has done before.
