While early on in his career Herro frequently found himself at the center of Miami Heat trade rumors, following the 2024-25 season, Heat President Pat Riley made it clear that he hopes the young guard stays in Miami for the remainder of his career.

As Riley and the Heat look to move on from the Jimmy Butler era following a tumultuous season, the team seems keen to build around Herro.

In addition to acquiring Andrew Wiggins at the deadline, this offseason, the Heat acquired Norman Powell following a big season that saw him average a career-high 21.8 points.

Since then, the Heat have remained in the rumor mill, with plenty of hypothetical deals linking the team to the Lakers regarding a potential Wiggins trade; however, according to reports, Riley and the Heat aren't keen on trading Wiggins right now.

With Herro set to be sidelined for the start of the season, the Heat will undoubtedly look to the Wiggins-Powell duo to lead the team offensively.
