Both teams enter this matchup with similar records, separated by just one game in the standings, though each team made a key acquisition at the trade deadline. The Warriors brought on playoff-tested veteran Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat, with the Mavericks trading fan-favorite Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for former NBA champion Anthony Davis.

With Davis hurt, the Mavericks will have to rely on the guard combination of Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson to carry them. Irving is having a fine season, averaging 24.2 points on a stellar shooting line of .474/.404/.899.

The Warriors will look to Stephen Curry to continue his hot streak, as he's averaged 35.3 points over his last four games and has made no less than six 3-pointers in any of those contests.
