It was announced on Wednesday that Indiana Pacers superstar guard Tyrese Haliburton will miss some time with left hamstring strain.
Good news is, it looks to only be at least two weeks. Bad news is, that’s just the time given before reporters can start asking about a comeback.
According to Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle, the young guard is listed as week-to-week and that it would be “unrealistic” he’ll play before then.

Haliburton has suffered from hamstring issues in the past, once in 2024, which cost him 10 games and he re-aggravated it during the Eastern Conference finals that year.
Though the major injury blow came in the 2025 NBA Finals when Haliburton ruptured his right Achilles tendon during Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It took the 26-year-old a year to recover. Following an emotional return to Indiana before the team beat the New Orleans Pelicans, Haliburton has been averaging 21.8 points, 9.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 33 minutes per game.
It appeared as if he aggravated his hamstring during the Pacers’ 110-102 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks where he played for a season-high 35 minutes. He was seen with a heating pad on his left hamstring while seeing on the bench.
The NBA has seen a heavy string of injuries throughout the league, including Anthony Edwards, Kawhi Leonard, Jalen Williams, Jaren Jackson Jr., Jalen Duren and Paolo Banchero.

The Pacers are set to play against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
