The Los Angeles Lakers will be without two important contributors when they face the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
Starters, Luka Doncic and Ziaire Williams, have both been ruled out for the matchup, according to the Lakers' latest injury report.
Doncic is dealing with back tightness, while Williams will miss the game because of left foot soreness.

Their absences come at an unfortunate time for Los Angeles, which is looking to bounce back from its first loss of the season.
The Lakers fell 136-129 to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, ending their undefeated start and dropping their record to 3-1.
Now, Los Angeles must prepare for another challenging matchup without its leading offensive playmaker and an important contributor on the wing.
Doncic has been the driving force behind the Lakers' offense, serving as both their primary scorer and playmaker. Without him, Los Angeles will lean heavily on Austin Reaves to carry a larger share of the offensive responsibility.
Reaves has already established himself as a key contributor alongside Doncic, but Wednesday's matchup presents a different challenge. With the Lakers' star sidelined, Reaves will become the focal point of the offense as Los Angeles looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season.
Meanwhile, Williams' absence creates another challenge for head coach JJ Redick.
The 25-year-old forward has provided Los Angeles with perimeter shooting, athleticism and defensive versatility, making him a valuable part of the team's rotation.
Williams' ability to contribute without dominating the ball has been particularly useful alongside Doncic and Reaves.
Without him, the Lakers will need other players to help replace his production on both ends of the floor.
The timing of the injuries is especially difficult considering Los Angeles is playing its second game in as many nights.
The Clippers, meanwhile, enter Wednesday's matchup with additional rest after last playing Monday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Lakers defeated the Clippers 125-117 in their first meeting of the season on Friday, but Wednesday's rematch presents a different challenge.
With Doncic and Williams unavailable, the Lakers will need a more balanced offensive effort and stronger contributions throughout their rotation.
Neither player's designation establishes a timetable beyond Wednesday's game, leaving their availability for upcoming contests uncertain.
For now, the Lakers must find a way to respond to their first defeat without two players who have helped fuel their strong start.
