During the Orlando Magic's 111-102 win over the New York Knicks on Sunday night, Magic guard Jalen Suggs had to be helped off the court in the fourth quarter.
Suggs was attempting a layup, but his right knee appeared to buckle causing him to fall to the ground. He laid on the court for a few minutes. After getting assistance from trainers on the court, Suggs was able to walk off on his own accord.
On Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Suggs was officially diagnosed with a mild bone bruise in his right knee. He avoided a major injury scare, which is good news for the Magic. He doesn't have any major structural damage. The Magic confirmed this report.

As for how much time Suggs is expected to miss, the guard will be re-evaluated in two weeks before the team determines when he can return to action.
That means Suggs is at least expected to miss the next six games over the next two weeks, including matchups against the Raptors back-to-back, the Celtics, the Wizards, the Sun and the Warriors. The next available game Suggs could play, barring any injury setbacks, would be on Tuesday, Nov. 10 against the Sacramento Kings.
Suggs played in 34 minutes of Sunday night's game before suffering his knee injury. He recorded four points, six rebounds and six assists. Through three games, in which the Magic went 1-2, the guard is averaging eight points, five rebounds and 5.7 assists.
Suggs's injury update is good news for the Magic as they're already dealing with the absence of Paolo Banchero after he suffered a right ankle sprain on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Banchero is expected to miss about a month of time.
