Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr are all presumably approaching the end of their respective NBA careers and thus far, the 2026-27 season isn't going well for the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State has started the campaign 0-3 and rookie first-round draft pick Yaxel Lendeborg has been making headlines for a host of different reasons.

The forward's overall numbers are strong through the very early part of his rookie season, as he leads the team in rebounds (8.3) and minutes per game (34.3), while ranking second in points (18.7) and assists (4.3) per contest as well.

Kerr called out the Puerto Rican 24-year-old for a couple of weak spots in his game, following the Warriors' loss against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night, however.

Lendeborg generated controversy after the season-opener versus the Los Angeles Lakers when he said postgame that he entered the league with "a lot of respect" for Luka Doncic but after seeing the six-time All-Star's "whining and complaining" in person, he "lost all respect for him."

The 11th overall pick went on to criticize the league as a whole, saying that there was "a lot of flopping, a lot of foul baiting" and "a lot of praying to the ref."

For what it's worth, Lendeborg walked back his comments about Doncic slightly on Saturday, saying "I feel like I did kinda take it overboard in the media, but it is what it is."

The Lakers and Warriors will play each other again on Friday in an NBA Cup game.
