The Golden State Warriors are facing growing uncertainty over Kristaps Porzingis’ future with the team.

Questions about his availability have intensified, and the latest report suggests the situation may be reaching a difficult turning point for both sides.

According to ESPN’s Anthony Slater:

"Team sources continue to express an extreme level of pessimism that Porzingis will ever play for the Warriors again."

The report also raises concerns about his continued absence from the team facility, suggesting the Warriors’ patience is being tested.

Porzingis’ absence, Slater reported:

“can no longer be described as an excused absence.”

That language points to a situation that has moved beyond a routine injury-related delay, although the Warriors have not publicly confirmed that the center will not play again.

The team is reportedly willing to remain patient while the trade market for Porzingis’ contract develops. That approach could give Golden State more options, but it also leaves the roster in a difficult position while the situation remains unresolved.

The uncertainty is particularly concerning because Porzingis was expected to strengthen Golden State’s frontcourt alongside Draymond Green. Instead, the Warriors have started the season without him and are now weighing their options.

Porzingis signed a two-year, $40 million deal in June. The contract was structured to give Golden State flexibility, with only $3 million of his $20 million salary for next season guaranteed. That could make it easier to explore a trade, although his health situation complicates any potential deal.

Porzingis has said he is working with doctors and experts to address his health issues. In a social media post, he wrote that:

“Hello people, I’m working with doctors and experts to figure out how to be fully back to good health asap. Honestly, I’m getting better and better. I just have to stay patient, and I believe I’ll be feeling great again soon,” he wrote, as per NBA.com.
