Yaxel Lendeborg led the Golden State Warriors to a Summer League championship title on Sunday night, recording 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 94-90 win over No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Lendeborg, the 23-year-old No. 11 overall pick out of Michigan, was awarded championship game MVP honors for his performance.
Now that his time in the Summer League is over, Lendeborg can turn his attention toward teaming up with the Warriors' veteran players — including all-time great point guard Stephen Curry.

After Sunday night's championship win, Lendeborg was asked if he's had the chance to reach out to Curry for any advice.
“I mean, I only asked him one question. It was all about just how he got his stamina up, because he’s the most conditioned player in NBA history," Lendeborg responded. "When I get back and start working out for real, I’m gonna try to implement that and see if I can get anywhere near as conditioned as he is.”
Curry's constant off-ball movement makes him one of the most difficult players to defend, exhausting his defender as he hunts for quality 3-point looks. That being said, the 38-year-old NBA veteran averaged 30.9 minutes per game in his 17th season — appearing in just 43 games due to a variety of injury issues.

Curry, Lendeborg and the Warriors will begin their preseason schedule with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 6.
