The Duke Blue Devils could have their hands full tonight against St. John's, but they'll be getting some important reinforcements just in time for the biggest game of the season.
Point guard Caleb Foster, who broke his foot earlier this month, is set to return and play against St. John's in the NCAA tournament. Foster hasn't played since the regular-season finale against North Carolina, but it is currently unknown whether or not Foster will be on a minutes restriction or if he will start with the season on the line.
The Blue Devils have needed the veteran guard's experience and leadership, but freshman Cayden Boozer has done a nice job in his place. He scored 19 points in the first round against No. 16 seed Siena.

Foster has been a crucial part of Duke's success this season, organizing the offense and keeping the ball moving between Cameron Boozer and Isaiah Evans. In 31 games, Foster is averaging 8.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists this season while shooting 44.2% from the field.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer has been hopeful that Foster would be able to make a speedy recovery to help the Blue Devils during the tournament. While the initial expectation was that he could be back at the Final Four, Foster will be in line to help the Duke offense against a pesky Rick Pitino defense from St. John's. The Johnnies led the Big East with a 3.33 turnover margin.
Legendary former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski seemingly confirmed the availability of Foster, telling The Pat McAfee Show that he is "pretty sure" Foster will get minutes off the bench and be able to contribute. If he can help Duke maintain more possessions, that will be a huge win. The Blue Devils committed 17 turnovers in the second round against TCU.
Duke will take on St. John's for a spot in the Elite Eight tonight at 7:10 p.m. ET in Washington, DC. The winner will advance and take on either Michigan State or UConn on Sunday.
