Michigan point guard Elliot Cadeau was removed from the team bus just before the Wolverines departed for their Final Four trip to Indianapolis on Wednesday afternoon.
Cadeau alerted the team that he was having an allergic reaction to something he'd eaten. A team spokesperson said the junior guard will remain in Ann Arbor to receive further medical evaluation before rejoining the team in Indianapolis later on Wednesday.
"The doctors evaluated Elliot and he is fine," Michigan spokesperson Tom Wywrot said in a statement, via CBS Sports. "Out of an abundance of caution, he is receiving medical supervision and will be traveling to Indianapolis later today."

Cadeau, who arrived in Ann Arbor as a transfer from the North Carolina Tar Heels before the 2025-26 season, has been excellent in his first campaign with Dusty May's program. The point guard averages 10.2 points and 5.8 assists per game. And through his first four NCAA Tournament games this year, he averages 10.5 points and 8.3 assists per game.
"He's a savant with what he's doing," May said of Cadeau during the NCAA Tournament. "And he probably doesn't even realize all the things that he's doing because he's so intelligent."
