An Emmy Award-winning actor will be at Notre Dame on Saturday to be the guest picker on ESPN's "College GameDay."

On Thursday, ESPN announced that Jason Sudeikis will be on the show to pick the big games on the day, including No. 1 Miami vs. No. 11 Notre Dame. Sudeikis appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show" to speak about Notre Dame being a part of his life.

“Big in my family growing up,” Sudeikis said (via Thomas Goldkamp of On3). “My folks are from Chicago, my mom is from the South Side. Her father, my grandfather, was a graduate from Notre Dame. I have another uncle, my Uncle Jim; he’s a graduate from Notre Dame in 1975. My uncle George, the actor George Wendt, you know him on 'Cheers,' he went to Notre Dame, dropped out after his junior year because he skipped all his finals.

“This is the way it all went down. Then I went to the basketball camp there in the sixth grade. So it went further and further down. So this is the pinnacle of my Notre Dame.”

Sudeikis is no stranger to sports, as he plays the title character in the Apple TV series "Ted Lasso." In the show, Ted Lasso is a former college football coach recruited to coach a pro men's soccer team in England. The fourth season aired this year, and Lasso is hired to coach an English women's soccer team. Sudekis has won four Emmy Awards for his work on the series.

Miami versus Notre Dame is one of the most anticipated games of the year. In the 2024 season opener, the Hurricanes defeated the Fighting Irish, and it led to Miami reaching the College Football Playoff. Notre Dame missed the playoffs by one game and elected not to play in their bowl game.
