The Georgia Bulldogs are on track to reach the SEC Championship, and they could face a familiar opponent in the title game.

FOX College Football analyst Joel Klatt predicted the SEC Championship opponents, and he believes Georgia will finish on top of the standings. As for who the Bulldogs will face, Klatt thinks that Ole Miss will be competing for a conference title.

"There would be a large tie in the standings in which Ole Miss essentially wins the tiebreaker," Klatt said. "I just don't see Alabama, LSU, or Tennessee winning out. I'm projecting Kentucky also to drop a couple of games. I think Ole Miss is sitting there as a two-loss, and they get that nod, and they go and play Georgia."

Georgia Bulldogs SEC Championship

...

Georgia and Ole Miss will face each other in Oxford, Mississippi, next Saturday. If both teams qualify for the SEC Championship, it would be the fourth meeting for them in two years.

During the 2025 regular season, Georgia defeated Ole Miss in Athens, Georgia. Both teams battled again in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals, and Ole Miss came out on top.

Georgia is the defending back-to-back SEC champions and have played in the conference title game the last five years. During that time, the Bulldogs have a 3-2 record and have won two national championships. Georgia is currently 6-1 and will face Florida on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

After Ole Miss defeated Georgia in the playoffs last year, the team lost to Miami in the semifinals. The Rebels are currently 5-2 and will face Auburn this Saturday at 12:45 p.m. ET.
