Auburn and Alabama, best known for the yearly Iron Bowl on the football field, meet on Saturday in a huge college basketball matchup between the two top-ranked teams in the country.

The Tigers enter Saturday as the top-ranked team in the country, No. 1 overall, with a 22-2 record overall and a 10-1 record in SEC play. Most recently, Auburn defeated Vanderbilt 80-68 behind 20 points and five rebounds from Chaney Johnson and 17 points and seven rebounds out of star forward Johni Broome.

It was an impressive bounce-back win for Auburn after the Tigers had suffered their second defeat of the season when they fell 90-81 to Florida last weekend.

How to Watch No. 1 Auburn vs. No. 2 Alabama:

Alabama, meanwhile, enters the matchup against Auburn at 21-3 with a 10-1 record in SEC play. The Crimson Tide have won their last seven games, most recently demolishing Texas 103-80 on Tuesday. Leading the way for Alabama in that matchup was forward Jarin Stevenson who had 22 points and four rebounds that evening. Three other players had at least 15 points in the offensive outburst by the Crimson Tide against the Longhorns.

This will be the first of two matchups between Alabama and Auburn over the next month. According to advanced analytics college basketball expert KenPom, Auburn is the No. 1 team in the country while Alabama is sixth.
