Wyoming reaches a make-or-break moment in its Mountain West conference campaign on Saturday when it hosts a UNLV side yet to miss a beat thus far in 2025. The Rebels sit on a perfect 4-0 record and are shaping up to be a title contender in the event they can book back-to-back wins over Wyoming for the first time since 2003.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, have already been saddled with two defeats to Utah and Colorado, each of which has materialized in the past two gameweeks. A third in a row would truly dent second-year head coach Jay Sawvel's aspirations for a bowl fixture despite his team looking likely to improve on last year's 3-9 return.

UNLV just about succeeded in preserving its perfect record at Miami last weekend, where Ramon Villela's last-second field goal gave the team its only lead of the game at just the right time to secure a 41-38 win. If nothing else, a fourth-quarter 17-0 scoreline showed the heart of first-year head coach Dan Mullen has among his troops.

That also extended the Rebels' trend of performing well late on as they continue to fit their moniker to perfection. Running back Jai'den Thomas led on the ground with 118 rushing yards, while Wyoming quarterback Kaden Anderson is hoping to find the kind of consistency that's eluded him thus far this season.
