For the past few weeks, Ole Miss has done its best to forget about Lane Kiffin.

After the now LSU Tigers head coach tore his way out of Oxford and left a wake of bruised hearts, angry families, and disappointed players, Pete Golding did his best to regroup the team.

The Rebels took on the underdog role, upsetting Georgia in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals before ultimately losing a heartbreaker to the Miami Hurricanes in the Fiesta Bowl.

Even after that, though, Golding didn't stop and continued improving the team through the transfer portal, rocketing to the top of the recruiting rankings.

But then, well, Kiffin did what Kiffin does best, and struck back while winking as the college football world watched on.

On Saturday, after already losing a series of players to the Tigers, another possible Kiffin connection entered the moving window in the dying minutes of the transfer portal's open period.

Starting wide receiver Cayden Lee is now open to receive offers from any program in the country, and Kiffin is already being linked to the dynamic wideout.

Ole Miss fans have already begun calling foul play, theorizing and speculating that the former head coach has been in contact with Rebels players in the final days of the portal to get them to jump.

Per Ben Garrett, a leader of all Ole Miss news and rumors for On3, a program source told him that Kiffin was trying to sabotage Golding and 'destroy' the Rebels' locker room.

Before Ole Miss's game against Miami, Kiffin called Barstool Sports personality Ben Mintz and compared Golding to a 'step-parent' while being recorded, and it was put up on social media right after.

He would then go on to say that he felt like the real biological credit and that he wasn't getting the credit he deserved for 'raising the kid' that was now getting good grades.

Aside from LSU, look for the Georgia Bulldogs to be linked to the receiver, who is from the area and would be a gigantic boon to Kirby Smart's plans for 2026.
