Stanford has secured a major recruiting victory, beating out several prominent college football programs for one of the nation's top quarterback prospects.

The announcement was reported Monday by Rivals recruiting insider Hayes Fawcett.

Fujikawa, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect from Mililani High School in Hawaii, is ranked as the No. 12 quarterback in the 2028 class according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
The talented signal-caller had attracted interest from programs across the country, making his commitment a significant addition to Stanford's future recruiting plans.
Fujikawa previously narrowed his recruitment to six schools, including UCLA and Arizona State, before ultimately deciding to join the Cardinal.
His decision comes shortly after a visit to Stanford that reportedly made a strong impression.
According to Rivals national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins, Fujikawa spent time with Stanford's coaching staff and general manager Andrew Luck during his visit. He also connected with former Oregon quarterback and Hawaii native Marcus Mariota through a video call.
The experience helped strengthen Stanford's position in a competitive recruiting battle.
On the field, Fujikawa has demonstrated the skills that made him one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in his class.
During his debut with Mililani in August, he completed 20 of 34 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Trojans to a 31-24 victory over Liberty High School in Nevada.
Through his first 10 quarters of the 2026 season, Fujikawa completed 71% of his passes for 847 yards, 10 touchdowns and no interceptions, according to On3.
His combination of arm strength, mobility and accuracy has helped establish him among the top quarterback prospects in the country.
For Stanford, securing Fujikawa represents an encouraging development as the program looks to build a competitive future in the ACC.
The Cardinal have made recruiting talented quarterbacks a priority, and landing a nationally ranked prospect provides another potential building block for the offense.
Fujikawa still has another high school season ahead before he can arrive on campus, but his commitment gives Stanford an early centerpiece for its 2028 recruiting class.
And after winning a recruiting battle against Oregon, Ole Miss and Arizona, the Cardinal have reason to believe their efforts on the recruiting trail are beginning to pay off.
