Utah Utes head coach Morgan Scalley kept things in perspective after his team defeated BYU in the Holy War.
After the game, Scalley spoke to ESPN about beating BYU and remaining undefeated. He's happy with the win, but his team has bigger goals.
"The season's not over," Scalley said. "This was a big win, not THE big win. We got to keep it going."

The win is special for Scalley since he played football for Utah. The 47-year-old was asked how a BYU win is different from other victories.
"It's about this entire community," he said. "It's not me. It's about this entire community; it's about Utah athletics. So grateful for everyone's belief in what we're doing."

Utah AD Has 'High Expectations' for Morgan Scalley
As Scalley spoke to ESPN, the Utah fans surrounded him, chanting his name. Scalley, who had worked as an assistant coach for Utah since 2007, became the head coach this season, replacing Kyle Whittingham, who is currently the head coach at Michigan. Before the 2024 season, Utah announced Scalley as the head-coach-in-waiting.
Utah is currently ranked No. 3 in the College Football Playoff Rankings and could move up depending on how No. 1 Miami and No. 2 Georgia fare in their games on Saturday. The Utes are currently 9-0 and on track to have their first undefeated regular season since 2008.
"I had really high expectations for what Morgan could do leading the program," Utah athletic director Mark Harlan told ESPN's Pete Thamel in October, "and it's been far better than anything I imagined."
