Many assumed that Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore was heading to the NFL following a breakout 2025 season, in which he led Oregon to the College Football Playoff and had many scouts projecting him to go No. 2 overall to the New York Jets in the 2026 NFL draft.
And so when former Nebraska five-star QB Dylan Raiola announced his commitment to Oregon out of the transfer portal, many assumed it was to be the Ducks’ QB1 in 2026.
But Moore pulled a Lee Corso and hit NFL teams with a “Not so fast, my friend” and announced he was returning Oregon in 2026, meaning he’s likely to be a top pick in the 2027 draft.

So when a satire account on X posted a fake tweet on the social media platform on Thursday alleging that Raiola went back into the portal after Moore’s announcement, plenty of Ducks fans were duped into believing it was real.
“BREAKING: Oregon QB Dylan Raiola has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Raiola transferred from Nebraska to Oregon 48 hours ago,” X user @ShaneTuttleNCAA posted on Thursday in a tweet that has 3.4 million views, 15,000 likes, and nearly 1,000 replies.

Before the majority caught on that the report was false, several Oregon fans believing the news to be real shared some pretty lively reactions in the comments.
“We didn’t want or need you anyways,” one fan scoffed.
“I truly… and I do mean TRULY… cannot [expletive] stand this kid,” another fan sneered.
“Didnt he just say he has no problem sitting for a year? everything about this guy is so fake,” a third fan remarked.
“So Moore is told he won’t get drafted by a team. So he decides to stay at Oregon. 2 days after DR commits. Which is after he committed elsewhere. And now he’s back in the portal. This is all soooooo stupid what are we doing people!?!?!!!!?!” one user emphasized.
“How do you enter the portal before even playing or going to school there?! This is the dumbest thing ever,” asked another user.
“This dude is a disaster. Pity the team that takes him in,” another fan replied.
