The San Francisco 49ers are set to face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon for their Week 7 matchup.
The 49ers will be looking to stay perfect and improve to a 7-0 record by picking up a win in this matchup. However, as the 49ers prepare for their game against the Falcons, they have announced some bad news regarding star wide receiver Mike Evans.

Evans being ruled out for the 49ers' game against the Falcons comes after he exited the team's Week 6 matchup against the Washington Commanders during the first half. Now, with this update from Shanahan, Evans is officially set to miss more time for San Francisco.
This is a tough blow for the 49ers, as Evans is a key part of their roster. Furthermore, they have been dealing with a lot of injury trouble this season despite their perfect record.
Evans is currently in his first season with the 49ers after spending the previous 12 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In six games so far this season with the 49ers, he has posted three touchdowns, 27 receptions, and 420 receiving yards.
