The league continues to roll out its annual NFL Top 100 rankings as the 2026 season quickly approaches.
On Thursday, the NFL announced Fred Warner as the league's No. 54 ranked player — as voted on by current players.
Heading into the 2025 NFL season, Warner had recorded three consecutive First Team All-Pro selections. Unfortunately, he suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 6, causing him to miss the final three months of his 8th professional campaign.

Before this injury, Warner recorded 51 tackles and two forced fumbles.
The 49ers reacted to Warner's ranking with a post on social media, playing off the fact that he wears the No. 54 jersey to match his spot on the NFL Top 100 list.
"#54 is the standard," the team wrote.
Warner, 29, is fully cleared and ready to go for the 49ers' 2026 season.
“I remembered telling guys to appreciate every game, practice and single play because you never know when it could be your last,” Warner said on Thursday, via Dan Pompei of The Athletic. “That’s why I bring so much juice and positive energy to games and practices and meetings.”

“I always believed strongly that everything happens for a reason,” he added. “And it would be wrong to abandon that in the toughest times.”
