Andy Reid faced several questions after the Kansas City Chiefs signed Justin Tucker to the practice squad.
Tucker hasn't played since the 2024 season, and the All-Pro kicker served a 10-game suspension last year for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Sixteen massage therapists accused Tucker of sexual misconduct from 2012 to 2016 while he played for the Baltimore Ravens.
During Wednesday's press conference, a reporter asked Reid what message Kansas City signing Tucker sends to female fans.

"He's done his suspension. Took care of that business there. I'll leave it at that for you," Reid said, via Ari Meirov. "We try to do our homework the best way we possibly can and talk to a lot of people, make sure things are OK."
Reid wouldn't expand on the team's vetting process before signing Tucker, who has denied all allegations made against him.
"I'm not going to get into all of that," Reid said. "To bring him in here, I did some homework. He's here, and he's on the practice squad, so we roll with it."

Tucker could compete for Kansas City's kicking job amid Harrison Butker's struggles. The 10-year veteran has missed five field goals and an extra point in his last five games, putting his job in jeopardy despite a career 87.3% success rate on field goals.
"Butker gets it, and he knows that's part of this business," Reid said. "He's struggled a little bit. He gets it. He needs to pick it up here a little bit."
Reid said Butker will maintain most of this week's reps and will likely play in Sunday's AFC West game against the Denver Broncos. However, the situation remains "fluid" depending on what he sees in practice.
