The Kansas City Chiefs are riding a two-game winning streak, coming off a dominant 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7 to improve to 4-3 on the season.
Over the last two weeks, however, there’s been significant speculation surrounding rookie star left tackle Josh Simmons, who abruptly stepped away from the team and has remained absent over the past two games for “personal reasons.”

Reid revealed that Simmons has been communicative with the organization, keeping them updated, and emphasized that it is a “positive situation.”

Kansas City drafted Simmons with the 32nd overall pick in the first round, and he quickly earned his stripes, effectively taking one of the tackle spots from Jaylon Moore, whom the Chiefs signed this offseason.
Since Simmons’ absence, Moore has stepped in and performed exceptionally over the last two weeks, earning high praise from star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“He’s done a great job,” Mahomes said. “He’s been ready. He’s a true pro… He’s done it all throughout training camp and throughout the regular season, and that’s why he’s here.”
