It took Chicago Bears star tight end Colston Loveland a little bit to get going this season after a stellar finish to his rookie year. He seems to be finally hitting his stride, but the team received some bad news about the second-year playmaker on Friday.
According to Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic, Loveland was a limited participant during the Bears latest practice with a neck injury.

It's unclear when exactly Loveland suffered the injury or how serious it is, but it will certainly be something worth monitoring as the Bears prepare for their Week 8 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
Chicago already lost fellow tight end Cole Kmet for the season after he suffered a serious right knee injury during the team's Week 7 win over the New England Patriots. So, if Loveland's injury turns out to be serious, the Bears could be in big trouble at the tight end position.

...
Loveland, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, finished his rookie season with an impressive 58 catches for 713 yards and six touchdowns.
Then through the first five weeks of this season, he was only able to reel in 13 catches for 110 yards and zero touchdowns. But over the last two weeks, Loveland has recorded 13 catches for 134 yards and two scores.
With the Bears seemingly all in on a Super Bowl run this season, they are surely hoping for the best for Loveland's health.
