The Chicago Bears have some high expectations heading into the 2026 NFL season.

The franchise took a major leap in 2025, logging an 11-6 regular-season record and beating the division-rival Green Bay Packers in the wild card round of the playoffs. But this year, the team aspires to reach new heights.

Bears tight end Cole Kmet believes that with head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams leading the way, they have a real chance to compete for a Super Bowl title.

“I truly believe we've got something special in store for you guys this year. First off, let's talk about Caleb. That guy ... I honestly don't think there's a limit to how good he can be. He has the best arm I've ever seen. And now with Ben here running the show? I'm happy we were able to bring in such a great offensive mind in Ben," Kmet said in a message to Bears fans published on The Players' Tribune. "That those two get to work together. It honestly just makes me happy for my QB. And I think you're gonna start to see some very special things happening in year two of this offense. Like we're all gonna look back on this time and be like ... Hmmmm, that really was the beginning of something big."

"But, in any case: Buckle up, Chicago. Because winning the SUPER BOWL is the goal this season, plain and simple. No hedging," Kmet continued. "And I feel like I've been around this place long enough to say with some credibility that we have a team that could realistically do it. Obviously, it won't be easy. We're not sneaking up on anyone anymore. But even that in itself is exciting. I can't wait for things to get rolling.”
